New York residents can benefit from a $300 checking bonus offered by Dime Savings Bank. The promotion lasts until 11/15/09 and is for the Dime Rewards Checking Account. Here is how you can receive your $300 bonus:
- $100 for opening the account (paid when account opens)
- $100 setting up a monthly recurring direct deposit
- $100 more for completing two online bill payments.
The last two $100 bonuses aren't paid until six months after the opening date AND the other guidelines are followed. If you close your account within six months and did receive your bonuses, they will be deducted at the time of closing your account.
This account is available only for new customers and is limited to one per household. It is not a high-yield checking account, bearing rates of 0.25% APY under $5,000 and 0.50% APY for $5,000 to $25,000. You will be required to pay a $15 service charge if your daily balance falls below $5,000.
