Girard National Bank is offering a competitive 5.01% APY on its Rewards Checking Account. This rate has been effective for some time, originally offered January 25, 2009. Here are the qualification rates:
- 5.01% APY for $0.01 – $24,999.99
- 1.01% APY for $25,000.00 +
- 0.25% APY base rate if qualifications not met
Rates are variable and are subject to change at any time. In order to qualify for the above rates, you must meet these qualifications each cycle:
- Make 10 Mastercard debit card purchases
- Set up one direct deposit or authorize one automatic payment from your account
- Enroll and receive electronic statements
- Access online banking
If qualifications are met, you also receive unlimited nationwide ATM refunds each cycle.
Interest compounds daily and is credited monthly. Opening an account requires a $100 minimum deposit. While you can apply to open an account online, you are required to visit a branch location (in Kansas or Colorado) to complete the process.
