The 3.25% APY checking account rate applies to balances up to $25,000, and for any balances over the $25,000 the account will earn a 1.01% APY instead. However, these rates only apply if monthly requirements are met and if they’re not met then the default base rate you would be able to earn on the checking account is 0.10% APY.
