An exclusive group of California residents can join the SAFE credit union and take advantage of  all the financial institutions offerings, including a 1.16% APY checking account interest rate. There are specific rules to qualify for the highest rate offered on their Prestige Checking account including:


  • To earn highest checking account interest rate a $50,000 deposit is required
  • Checking account interest rates lower based on tiered deposit amounts
  • Minimum $2,000 opening balance
  • Interest paid monthly
  • NCUA insured

SAFE Credit Union has dozens of locations throughout California including branches in , Antelope, Citrus Heights, Elk Grove and Sacramento.
