The money market account interest tiers and earning potential are:
- $0-$2,499.99 will earn a .25% APY
- $2,500-$19,999.99 will earn a .50% APY
- $20,000-$49,999.99 will earn a .75% APY
- $50,000-$99,999,99 will earn an 1.00% APY
- $100,000-$499,999.99 will earn an 1.00% APY
- Balances starting at and exceeding $500,000 will qualify for the best money market account rate of 1.25%
Aside from the tiered deposit limits, there are additional obligations account holders should be aware of such as:
- Minimum opening balance of $1,000 is required
- Average daily balance of $2,500 or more is required to have monthly service fee waived
- If minimum is not met a $10 monthly maintenance fee will apply
- Withdrawals capped at three per month
- If depositor exceeds withdrawal limit, each additional transaction will result in a $12 penalty
