Wells Fargo Co., based in San Francisco, will change the name of Wachovia’s brokerage arm to Wells Fargo Advisors. While the name change comes into effect tomorrow, Wachovia Securities’ brand name will remain for at least a short time while new stationary, brochures, email changes, and other changes will be rolled out for the brokerage. Wells Fargo’s history is well documented, and its acquisition of Wachovia will become another important milestone for the books.
Wells Fargo Advisors has about 16,000 financial advisors nationwide, and will begin its website redesign starting in the fall. For more information on Wells Fargo and the latest rates news, visit Go Banking Rates.
