As of the week ending on August 14, 2009, the average cd rate for 3-month certificate of deposits has decreased and is now at 0.0684 percent. The prior week, the average cd rate was 0.701 percent. Among banks, Ally bank is currently offering a 1.14 percent cd rate – one of the highest cd rates for 3-month certificate of deposits.

Current Best CD Rate for 6 Months:
The average for 6-month CD rates is .0937 this week, which is down from last week’s 0.988 percent.
