Northwest Federal Credit Union Has Increased Its 2 and 5-Year CD Rates Nationwide

Posted in 2 Year CD , CD Rates , Credit Union , Rates

Believe it or not, Northwest Federal Credit Union (NFCU) is one of the few out there that has actually increased its rates. In September, we reported that 2 and 5-year CDs had rates of 2.29% and 3.64%, respectively. We’re happy to report that these rates have increased to the following:

  • 2.39% APY for 24-month CDs
  • 3.65% APY for 5-year CDs

While these increases may not be significant, they are present, which is great news in this tough economy.

The rest of the details of the accounts remain the same, including a minimum $25,000 deposit required to open. To learn of more rates, visit the credit union’s rate sheet.

To open the account you must be qualified to be a member of the credit union. By going to Andera.com you will be able to select your qualifications to join as a member. Branches are located in Manassas, Chantilly, Herndon, and Vienna in Virginia.
