People’s Trust FCU in Texas is offering its 5-5-5 Term Share Certificate, which includes a 5-month CD at 5.00% APY with a minimum of $500. To take advantage of the deal, however, you can only make a $5,000 maximum deposit.
The credit union is also offering a competitive 2.06% APY on its 12-month CD. The tiers for this CD include:
- 2.04% APY on $1,000 – $9,999.99
- 2.06% APY on $10,000 – $24,999.99
- 2.08% APY on $25,000 – $49,999.99
- 2.10% APY on $50,000 – $99,999.99
- 2.12% APY on $100,000 and above

In order to take advantage of these CD rates, you must join the credit union, which is open to members of the People’s Trust Foundation. Membership requires either a branch visit at one of their locations in Houston, or mailing in a notarized membership application.
