Citigroup plans to launch a unique credit card on Monday that comes with no late fees or penalties. The card also boasts a single interest rate for purchases, balance transfers and cash advances, helping it stand out from its competition.
New Card Comes with Simple Terms 
Citigroup announced on Thursday that it has discovered a hacker accessed personal information from its customers. The bank said the security breach occurred last month during which time the hacker stole the information belonging to roughly 200,000 customers.
Routine Monitoring Revealed the Breach 
Investors were given good news on Friday from analysts who said financial institutions are ready to pay dividends again after a three-year break. Some of the nation’s largest banks plan to restore dividends in the first half of the year now that they’ve been able to repair some of the damage to their balance sheets.

The new Citi Mobile app for Apple’s iPhone has stirred a bit of controversy after the company announced that the personal account information of customers could be threatened. According to Citigroup, the app has inadvertently saved personal account details in a hidden file on the users’ phones – a glitch that is already believed to have compromised account numbers, access codes and credit card bill payments.
To resolve the problem, Citigroup is urging customers to upgrade to a new application made available on Apple’s App Store. However, those who choose to keep their current apps will have the account info deleted immediately (NY Daily News).
