Alliant Credit Union Dropped Savings Account Rate to 2.00% APY

We’re still watching rates drop as we see another credit union lower its rates. This time, Alliant Credit Union has dropped its savings rate to 2.00% APY from the 2.25% rate we reported in July. Luckily, other details of the account have remained the same:



  • High dividend paid monthly on the average daily balance of $100 or more
  • No maximum balance limit
  • Initial deposit of $5

In order to qualify for this account, you must have one of the following for eligibility:

  • Work or live in one of the Chicagoland communities
  • Be an employee or a member of a qualifying organization
  • Have direct legal relations with a person who is qualified

Dividends are paid on the last day of every month.

Branches for the credit union are located in Township, Elk Grove, Des Plaines and Chicago in Illinois. Branches are also located in Virginia, California and Colorado.
