A new report released by the White House on Thursday says that the United States will likely average 95,000 more jobs each month through 2010. If true, this will be a great improvement to the 700,000 jobs that President Barack Obama said were lost each month when he stepped into office.
Obama Says, Don’t Forget Where We Started
Aside from health care, job creation has been a major issue in the White House and Congress. With millions still unemployed and looking for work, it seems that there are never going to be enough jobs to go around.
But despite the lack of jobs, Obama has recently said in an address to Congress that while the situation has been grim, we must remember that improvements have been made. Most importantly, at the time nearly one million jobs were being lost each month.
However, the stats may or not be easing the minds of those who are still without work. In their case, good news on the future is the only news that matters.
Jobs On the Way
The unemployment rate finally dropped back down to 9.7 percent after reaching its peak of 10.2 percent in Nov. 2009 but with jobs still being lost, it’s time to start making gains. That’s what the Obama administration says it plans to do with adding a significant number of jobs each month.
To date, the White House hasn’t released specific steps toward job creation, but the hope is that it can deliver at least as many jobs as promised to help pull down the unemployment rate and get the economy back on track.

The real unemployment rate is somewhere near the 20% mark if you count discouraged workers and people who ran out of unemployment.
