Daria Uhlig is a personal finance, real estate and travel writer and editor with over 25 years of editorial experience. Her work has been featured on The Motley Fool, MSN, AOL, Yahoo! Finance, CNBC and USA Today. Daria studied journalism at the County College of Morris and earned a degree in communications at Centenary University, both in New Jersey.
In addition to writting and editing both business-to-business and business-to-consumer content for market research and e-commerce companies, Daria was employed for over 20 years as a contributor to The Oxford English Dictionary. She also served as a senior editorial assistant for the North American Reading Program for Oxford Dictionaries. Other past employers include The New York Times Co., where she worked in an online services division.
Daria lives on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, where she’s a licensed real estate agent. She is also an avid photographer and recently fulfilled a longtime goal to exhibit work at a local gallery. Daria is hard at work developing her next bucket-list project — Simply Over 50, a blog and online community aimed at helping women over 50 live better with less. In her downtime, she can often be found paddling the back bays of Delmarva and enjoying life on the Shore.
