James Holbach has been a student and practitioner of investing for nearly 20 years. He earned
an MBA from San Francisco State University and completed undergraduate work in finance. As
a Registered Investment Advisor, he founded Steelyard Investment Management, a boutique
investment advisory firm specializing in value investing. He managed Steelyard for more than a
decade before closing his practice to focus on his corporate career. Outside of the business
world, you can usually find him running out on the road or trail, training for his next marathon
(most recently Big Sur in 2022)
