As long as that is not a major concern of yours and the free perks work with your financial goals and purpose for the free checking account, go for it. Checking accounts are designed to be used as an instrument to pay your debt and provide consumers quick access to liquid funds. If you plan on using a checking account for its intentionally designed purpose, then a free checking account is for you!
