BBVA Wallet Now Offers Real-Time Credit Card Rewards Redemption

See five credit cards to use with the newly-upgraded BBVA Wallet.

On Nov. 16, Birmingham, Ala.-based BBVA debuted the latest release of its BBVA Wallet, which includes real-time rewards redemption of credit card points on qualified purchases. This new feature allows you to instantly view purchases, rewards balances and more. After using the card, you receive a purchase notification that can be redeemed immediately for cash rewards.

“Our clients are getting instant cash-back gratification regardless of how or where they use their credit cards,” said BBVA Chief Digital Banking Officer Jeff Dennes. “Imagine buying a new TV and finding out, via an alert, that you can offset the amount of the purchase using your cash rewards before you even leave the store.”

BBVA is the first large bank in the U.S. to offer real-time rewards redemption. This innovation makes mobile banking more convenient than ever, because you can now save money on-the-go. The real-time rewards redemption feature also has robust security options in place to keep your account safe from fraud, allowing you to shop smarter and safer than ever before.
