If you order a lot from Amazon Prime or use Uber to get everywhere, it might pay to open a co-branded credit card with the brand you love. In the past year, several popular retailers and services have launched credit cards that give customers cash back, discounts, deals and other perks that could really benefit brand-loyal shoppers.

Amazon

APR: 15.49 percent to 23.49 percent, based on creditworthiness

Launched in January 2017, the Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Signature Card — available to Amazon Prime members — offers 5 percent back on all Amazon.com purchases. It also gives you 2 percent back when you spend at restaurants, gas stations and drugstores and 1 percent back on every other purchase.

Other benefits include no foreign transaction fees, travel protection and 24/7 concierge service. “We are adding even more value to Prime by offering rewards on Amazon and everywhere else you shop,” Max Bardon, Amazon’s vice president, said in a press release.

Build.com

Build.com, the largest online-only home improvement retailer in the U.S., launched a credit card with Alliance Data — a provider of data-driven marketing and loyalty solutions — in November 2017. You can use the card to make purchases on Build.com and its 17 affiliated websites, according to a press release. Credit card holders receive 15 percent off their first order, free standard and freight shipping, special financing, and exclusive discounts and offers.

APR: 23.24 percent

The Cathay Pacific Visa Card, launched in February 2017, allows U.S. customers to earn points for flights to Asia on Cathay Pacific Airways. The airline flies to Hong Kong and beyond, offering more than 100 flights each week from six U.S. cities, according to a press release.

You can use this card anywhere Visa is accepted. In addition to earning Asia Miles, you’ll receive other benefits like unique travel packages and seat upgrades. You can also use your reward points toward flights, hotels, car rentals, tours and gift cards for U.S. restaurants and stores.

Swedish home furnishings brand IKEA announced in January 2018 that it was partnering with Alliance Data to launch a loyalty-driven credit card program. You’ll be able to use your rewards for IKEA purchases as well as gas, groceries and utilities, according to a press release.

The credit card will have no annual fee and provides financing options for qualified customers who might need it for completing major renovations. “We are excited about how this new partnership will enhance our customers’ shopping experience across channels with added convenience and benefits,” Jacqueline DeChamps, chief operating officer at IKEA U.S., said in the release. The card is slated to launch in the U.S. in summer 2018.

Infiniti

APR: 18.49 percent to 24.49 percent, based on creditworthiness

In May 2017, luxury automotive brand Infiniti launched the Infiniti Visa program, which allows cardholders to earn points toward the purchase or lease of a new or pre-owned Infiniti. In addition, you can earn points toward automotive services and accessories or redeem them for statement credits, according to a press release. The card doesn’t have an annual fee, and it comes with additional perks including zero fraud liability, roadside dispatch, auto rental collision damage waiver, and travel and emergency assistance services.

Lucky Brand

American fashion retailer Lucky Brand is partnering with Alliance Data to launch a private-label credit card in February 2018. Cardholders earn points with purchases and redeem them for rewards. You’ll also receive special offers and benefits as a cardholder — including certificates for discounts — according to a press release.

Ride-sharing company Lyft hasn’t officially announced plans to launch a credit card, but Fox News reported in July 2017 that the company does have plans to roll one out. Although it’s unclear when the credit card will eventually be available, the company has recently launched a different, new initiative to attract riders.

In January 2018, Lyft launched its own line of beers, which offers discount codes to riders who purchase it. Unfortunately, the beers are currently available only in Chicago.

Gaming enthusiasts can save on PlayStation subscriptions with the PlayStation Visa Card, which launched in October 2017. Cardholders earn reward points with all purchases — you’ll get triple points for mobile phone bills and quintuple points for PlayStation or Sony products purchases, according to Techradar. In addition, PlayStation Visa members get 50 percent off an annual PlayStation Plus membership if they make $3,000 in purchases annually.

Coffee lovers can earn Starbucks Stars with every purchase they make at Starbucks — and elsewhere –with the Starbucks credit card, launched in February 2018. You can redeem Stars for drinks and food at more than 8,000 participating Starbucks locations, according to a press release.

“It’s important to us to make earning rewards as easy for our customers as possible, and the Starbucks Rewards Visa Card is a powerful tool for us to do that because of how easily it fits into their daily lives,” Matt Ryan, executive vice president and chief strategy officer for Starbucks, said in the release.

Uber

APR: 16.24 percent, 21.99 percent or 24.99 percent, depending on credit history

In November 2017, ride-sharing service Uber launched its Uber Visa Card, which has no annual fee and comes with several perks. You’ll earn points with every purchase you make, which you can use toward Uber rides, cash back or gift cards.

Cardholders also get a $50 annual subscription credit they can use toward Spotify, Netflix or Amazon Prime. In addition, you’ll receive coverage for mobile phone theft or damage, plus added perks like invitations to exclusive events.

If you’re losing money sitting in traffic every day, switching to taking an Uber might make financial sense and be less stressful, too.

Zulily, the online retailer that focuses on daily deals, partnered with Synchrony Financial to launch a private-label credit card in September 2017, according to Yahoo Finance. Cardholder benefits include SmartPay, which allows for flexible payment options.

“We are obsessed with making each and every one of our customers a passionate fan of the Zulily brand, and constantly strive to deliver on and enhance our customer experience. The launch of our Zulily credit card is just one special way we will continue to surprise and delight our customers,” Darrell Cavens, president and CEO of Zulily, told Yahoo.
