About United Federal Credit Union

In 1949, United Federal Credit Union was founded by five employees at the Whirlpool manufacturing plant in St. Joseph, MI. From humble beginnings, the credit union has grown to operate 23 branches in six states with over $1.5 billion in assets, and over 117,000 members. In addition to UFCU branches, members enjoy the convenience of access to thousands of network ATMs and shared branches nationwide. Membership is available to anyone who lives, works, worships, or volunteers in Michigan, Arkansas, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, Indiana and some areas of neighboring states, like Eastern Oklahoma.
