About EECU

In 1935, a group of 10 educators and administrators from Fort Worth opened the Fort Worth Teachers Credit Union at a desk in the Fort Worth ISD administration building. While EECU, derived from the former "Educational Employees Credit Union" name, reflects the original commitment of the credit union to educators in Fort Worth, the community charter now welcomes any individual who lives or works in the greater Fort Worth area. EECU serves over 170,000 members with over 10 branch locations in the greater Fort Worth area as well as with CU Service Centers and thousands of free ATM network locations nationwide.
