Unlike the average person, wealthy celebrities don’t need to be concerned about wasting a paycheck on Halloween. In fact, with money being no object, some stars make it a point to go all out, investing hours in hair and makeup, wearing custom-made costumes and piling on prosthetics fit for the silver screen to fully transform into someone else for the occasion.
And the most outlandish celebrity Halloween costumes definitely don’t come cheap — one star reportedly spent millions on a single Halloween look. Now that’s spooky. Take a look at these over-the-top Halloween get-ups to see how filthy rich celebrities have splurged.

Heidi Klum's Lady Godiva Costume
Cost: $525 for a short-term horse rental
Even more over-the-top than Heidi Klum’s bedazzled bodysuit and her floor-length blonde wig was the way the supermodel entered her 2011 Halloween party. Klum rode in on a horse — likely a rental — to portray Lady Godiva. Although we don’t know exactly how much Klum’s horse cost, a short-term lease from Big Sky Horse Leasing costs $525 per horse.
Alessandra Ambrosio's White Swan Costume

Heidi Klum's Jessica Rabbit Costume
Cost: $3,500+ for the gown
Heidi Klum seems to have no shortage of unique Halloween costume ideas — and she dedicates herself to them fully. Transforming into Jessica Rabbit was a 10-hour process for Klum, who dressed as the cartoon vixen for her 2015 Halloween party. The costume involved prosthetics on her face and body, and included a custom-made Christian Siriano dress, Klum told InStyle. The designer’s gowns retail for $3,500 and up, so the total cost of the costume was likely even more.
Jennifer Lopez's Skeleton Costume
Cost: $4,000+ for the gown
Jennifer Lopez was frighteningly beautiful as a skeleton for Heidi Klum’s 2015 Halloween party — but even more frightening is how much her dress cost. Although Lopez’s makeup stole the show, her Michael Costello dress probably cost more than her face paint: The designer’s gowns typically sell for upwards of $4,000. However, she might have gotten it for free because she’s a celebrity.
Kim Kardashian's Mermaid Costume
For a 2012 Halloween party, Kim Kardashian wore a luxe mermaid costume featuring a green glittering skirt, seashell encrusted bra and layers of pearls — and she even wore it again to her daughter North West’s mermaid-themed birthday party in 2016, People reported. A similar costume sells for $400 on Etsy.

Heidi Klum's Clone Costume
Cost: $10 million?
Heidi Klum’s one-of-a-kind beauty has propelled her to supermodel status, but for Halloween 2016, Klum’s beauty was six-of-a-kind. The model “cloned” herself with the extensive use of prosthetics for her over-the-top famous Halloween costume that year. Mike Marino of Prosthetic Renaissance, who worked with Klum on the costume, told TooFab the effect cost $10 million to create — but he might have been joking, according to the site. However, Klum did spend $8,940 on the Herve Leger bodysuits she and her clones wore for the occasion, Us Weekly reported.
