5 Major Companies That Allow You to Work from Home

From Apple to Hilton, find out what remote jobs are available.

Even if you love the show “The Office,” it doesn’t mean you like to work in one. If you’re not a fan of having to go in to an office to do your job, you’re not alone. At least 20 percent of American workers opted to work from home in some capacity in 2016, according to a Bureau of Labor Statistics report.

Although many full-time jobs require employees to work on site, there are a few major companies that allow you to work from home, including these five companies.

Tech giants Dell and Apple offer remote jobs in sales and tech, respectively. You can try your hand as a systems consultant at Dell, researching ways to increase customer sales. Or, if you love Apple products, you might consider a job as one of Apple’s home advisers, helping troubleshoot tech issues for all things Apple.

You can also find remote jobs in the health industry. Major health insurance provider Humana offers at least three jobs you can perform from home, including a managerial position.

Have customer service experience? Put it to use at American Express as a travel counselor. In this role you’ll help lend money advice to customers seeking suggestions about travel destinations unique to their financial situations.

And last, if you’re looking for a part-time side hustle you can do from home, Hilton Worldwide might be the company for you. The famous hotel chain employs people to respond to customer feedback and requests as a remote reservation sales specialist.
