You must have a mid-size or larger vehicle to become an Amazon Flex driver. You’ll also need a smartphone to gain access to the Amazon Flex app.

How Does Amazon Flex Work?

Once you’ve signed up for Amazon Flex and downloaded the Amazon Flex app, you can use the app to indicate which delivery blocks you are available for. You can sign up for as few or as many blocks as you’d like, and you can stop working for any period of time you want as well.

During your allotted delivery block, the app will tell you where you need to go to pick up your packages. It could be at an Amazon delivery station, a store or a restaurant. Once there, use the app to mark that you’ve arrived and scan the packages. When you’re loaded and ready to go, the app will suggest the best route to the delivery point and offer turn-by-turn directions. When you get to the delivery point, the drop-off location should be clear. If it isn’t, check the delivery notes in the app, or call the customer directly. You can also always call the customer support team if you need additional assistance.

How to Get Paid

Drivers earn $18 to $25 an hour. You’ll see how much you’ve earned in the Amazon Flex app.

Amazon Flex currently operates in more than 50 major cities in over 30 states. If your area is not currently being served by Amazon Flex, you can still sign up for a waitlist and be notified when opportunities become available in your area.
