10 Richest People in the World Younger Than 40

It’s good to be young and it’s good to be rich — but if you can pull off both at the same time, you’ve really got it made. The 21st century ushered in a new era of baby-faced titans of industry whose wealth was so enormous that being a young millionaire suddenly seemed passé. 

Today, the world is home to at least 10 people under the age of 40 who require three commas to measure their fortunes.

GOBankingRates used Forbes data to identify the richest young people. There are no 20-somethings on the list, but every single one of them is yet to celebrate their 40th birthday. Half of the people in the ranking are Americans, but the rest of the list is international. Many made their fortunes through tech or emerging moneymakers like cryptocurrency, but at least one got rich the old-fashioned way — through inheritance.
