If “just being Miley” equates to donating thousands to charity, the former “Hannah Montana” star is off to a pretty awesome start. One of their most noted philanthropic efforts occurred in 2014, when they founded the Happy Hippie Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to helping homeless youth, LGBTQ youth and other vulnerable groups. Since the charity is privately funded, 100 percent of the donations go right to those who need them the most.
Gwen Stefani is known for not only donating dollars but also time to the causes she cares about, including the American Red Cross, Save the Children’s Japan Earthquake Tsunami Relief and UltraViolet Edge — an Urban Decay global campaign that raises funds for charities that empower women.
Demi Lovato is confident enough in her star power to use it as a platform to give back. Lovato is a huge advocate for mental health awareness — especially since she suffers from bipolar disorder herself — and even rallied for the cause with a memorable speech at the 2016 Democratic National Convention. Lovato is also a huge proponent of the WE Foundation, which works with women and girls globally. She’s raised over $80,000 for the cause — even traveling to Kenya in 2017 to work with Kenyan families firsthand.
