35 American Cars To Buy Now That the Auto Industry Is Back

The auto industry was expected to survive the pandemic and eventually rebound from the slump it endured when the virus first crushed the economy — but few predicted the industry would bounce back as quickly and thoroughly as it has.
Many of the biggest automakers reported massive earnings in the most recent quarter, which ended in September, blowing past even their pre-virus performance in several important categories. Some, like Toyota and Honda, are doing so well that they’ve had to radically adjust their earnings forecasts for the better. For those who can afford them, cars are in high demand.
If you’re one of them, you’re likely looking for something that is both well regarded and affordable, with a low cost to maintain. To help with this quest, GOBankingRates surveyed popular American vehicles in terms of affordability. Using data from U.S. News’ best vehicles list, GOBankingRates filtered out foreign-made vehicles and ranked the remaining American vehicles based on MSRP.
