Susan Kessler: Hello, my name is Susan Kessler and I’m the Frugal Diva.
We’re here at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. It costs $15 for admission. However, not if you come on the second Tuesday of every month. And if you’re a Los Angeles county resident, come any weekday after 3:00 and it’ll be free. This is true for many institutions across the country.
If you want to go to the Bronx Zoo, it’s $19.95 for an adult and $12.95 for a child. For a family of four, that means $65.50 just for admission, not including drinks, snacks, and everything else.
However, if you go on a Wednesday, it’s free. Check out a wonderful website museumfreedays.com to learn about institutions across the country and how you can save money just by changing your schedule a little bit.
