How To Cancel Your HelloFresh Subscription

HelloFresh is the most popular meal kit delivery company in the United States. The company brings convenience to meal time by offering prepackaged ingredients and recipes for its customers to make high-quality meals at home, without having to step foot into a grocery store. 

The convenience is great, but at some point, you may decide to cancel your subscription. Meal kit delivery services like HelloFresh are significantly more expensive than what you could whip up with your own ingredients and recipes.

So, what do you do when you decide it’s time to cancel HelloFresh or change your number of deliveries?

How To Cancel Your HelloFresh Subscription

Follow these steps to process your cancellation:

1. Log in — Go to the HelloFresh website and log into your account.
2. Click on your name — It’s in the upper right-hand corner of the page. 
3. Click on “Account Settings” — When you click your name, a drop-down menu appears with “Account Settings” as an option.
4. Click on “Cancel Plan” — Scroll down until you see the “Status” section, and click on the “Cancel Plan” link.
5. Follow the prompts –These prompts on the screen tell you how to proceed.

When you’ve completed the steps, you’ll see a message confirming that you’ve canceled your plan. It’s important that you cancel no later than 11:59 PST at least five days before your next scheduled delivery. If you don’t, you’ll receive and pay for the scheduled deliveries for five days after the company processes your cancellation. 

What If You Only Want To Skip a Meal?

If you’re going on vacation, have other plans on or around your delivery dates or if you want to skip a HelloFresh delivery for some other reason, you can follow these steps to do so:

1. Log in — Go to the HelloFresh website and log into your account.
2. Click on “My Menu” — This is typically where you choose the types of meals you want to receive.
3. Select the day — Pick the delivery day you’d like to skip on the calendar. 
4. Click on “Skip Week.”

Similar to the cancellation process, you must skip a delivery by 11:59 PST at least five days before the delivery date. If you fail to do so, HelloFresh will ship the delivery and charge your payment method. 

HelloFresh Subscription Plans

HelloFresh offers a wide variety of combinations and prices for their plans. Here’s how the selection process works:

• Choose the type of food you want — Start by selecting the food you find appealing. HelloFresh provides options like “Meat & Veggies,” “Veggie” and “Family Friendly.”
• Select the number of servings — You can select either 2 or 4.
• Choose the number of meals per week — You can choose between 2 and 6.

Based on your selections, you’ll be charged $7.99 to $11.99 per serving. The food type you select won’t affect this cost. HelloFresh decides the price only on the basis of the total number of meals you choose per week. 

How To Change Your HelloFresh Subscription Plan

You can change your HelloFresh subscription plan at any time. This allows you to increase or reduce the number of meals you receive. You can also change the type of food.

To do this, you need to log into your HelloFresh account and then go to your account settings to change the number and type of meals you want to receive.
