Serena Williams Fined $17K After Controversial US Open Match
After a heated exchange between tennis superstar Serena Williams and umpire Carlos Ramos at Saturday’s U.S. Open, which ultimately prompted debate about women’s rights in sports, the U.S. Tennis Association has decided to fine Williams $17,000.
