Texas Heritage National Bank is offering a highly-competitive 5.00% APY on balances up to $25,000 on its Texas Star Checking Account. However, in order to take advantage of this rate, you must meet certain monthly criteria:
- 15 debit card purchases
- Enroll in online banking and telebank
- Set up one direct deposit
- Have an email address
If you don’t meet the criteria or your balance rises above $25,000, your rate will drop to 0.50% APY.
The minimum deposit amount to open is $500. If your balance falls below $500, you will be charged a $15 service fee. There are no transaction fees or limits.
