About

Capital One specializes in home loans, credit cards and auto loans, as well as banking and savings. The company's headquarters are outside of Fairfax, VA. The bank was first a spinoff of the Richmond-based Signet Banking Corp, founded in 1988. The company's retail operations are primarily in the southern states of Texas and Louisiana. Fortune named it as one of the 100 best companies to work for in 2013. Capital One is known for its distinctive advertising, but also its sponsorships, which include the Capital One Bowl (formerly the Citrus Bowl) and the English Football League Cup, one of the top soccer competitions in the United Kingdom.

While primarily known for their credit and debit cards, Capital One provides a wide array of banking services, including: Bank accounts for individuals, small businesses and larger corporations; loans for new and usedhomes and vehicles; investment and wealth management services, including retirement planning; small business banking services, such as credit cards, savings accounts and 401(k) plans; and commercial banking services, including treasury management. In fact, Capital One offers just about everything a bank customer could need in one convenient location. There's a lot more to Capital One than "what's in your wallet."
