However, you don’t have to move to a rural area to save money. There are plenty of cities that can accommodate boomers. They may get an influx of retirees arriving during Trump’s second term.
Austin, Texas

Scottsdale, Arizona
Saintilus also suggested Scottsdale, Arizona as a top city for retirees. The warm weather can make it an attractive location for snowbirds.

The city boasts a warm desert climate, renowned golf courses and an array of spa resorts, ensuring that retirees can enjoy a life of relaxation and recreation,” he explained.

Saintilus wrapped up his list of recommended cities with Charleston, South Carolina, which offers retirees plenty of things to do.

Pensacola, Florida
Grzegorz Kowalski, CEO and founder of TripOffice, also included promising cities in Florida, Texas and South Carolina, starting with Pensacola.
“Pensacola offers affordable living with low housing costs compared to other Florida beach destinations,” he explained. “It’s a quiet city with great internet for remote work and the cost of dining and activities is budget-friendly, making it ideal for both digital nomads and retirees looking for a relaxed lifestyle.”
Galveston, Texas
Kowalski also recommended Galveston for people who are looking at promising cities in the Lone Star State.

Kowalski wrapped up his list of U.S. cities with a South Carolina city that’s two hours away from Charleston. It’s also less than an hour away from North Carolina.

Retirees who are looking for international cities may want to consider Lisbon, Portugal. Kowalski explained why this city is worth keeping on your radar.
“Lisbon combines historic charm with modern conveniences, making it a favorite for retirees and digital nomads alike,” he added. “The mild climate, vibrant culture and excellent healthcare make it ideal. Plus, the city’s friendly expat network and tax benefits are big bonuses.”
