Certificate of Deposit Accounts

If you’re looking to gain a high annual percentage yield (APY) on your savings, a certificate of deposit (CD) account might be just what you need. BBVA’s CD account options are flexible for any investor, with guaranteed yield. With terms ranging from seven days to 15 years, the possibility for growth is extended to everyone. APY differs regionally across the Sun Belt, but the general rule is that the longer the term of the account, the higher APY you’ll earn.

Requirements for opening a CD account:

CD accounts are subject to approval, so you’ll need to complete the application process before you can start earning. Once approved, you’ll need to meet the minimum opening deposit requirement of $500, and then you’ll be ready to start receiving APY.

It’s important to keep in mind that account fees might reduce the account earnings. BBVA CD accounts are insured up to applicable FDIC limits. There is a $2,500,000 limit maximum deposit for accounts opened onsite and a $250,000 limit maximum for accounts opened online.
