Though many retirees are moving out of Florida for a number of reasons, including rising cost of living, plenty of folks are still packing up and moving to the Sunshine State. According to the U-Haul Growth Index, Florida had the second-largest number of movers in one-way U-Haul equipment in 2023 (Texas had the first).
Because Florida is such a popular state to move to, the state is experiencing a housing inventory shortage in some areas. If you’re thinking about relocating to Florida or know somebody who is, you should know the cities that have the most homes on the market. More homes mean, ideally, less competition and possibly better pricing than you’d find in cities with more demand.Â
GOBankingRates analyzed Zillow Research data to find the 27 cities in Florida with the most homes for sale.
