While some billionaires live modestly, others take luxury to the extreme, using their wealth to add amenities to their homes that most people can’t imagine.

From custom-built security bunkers to digital artwork that changes with a voice command, here are some of the most extravagant features you’ll find in the homes of the richest 1%.

Snow Room

According to Express, Mukesh Ambani, the world’s wealthiest oil baron, owns a 27-story home in Mumbai, India, called Antilia. His towering home is packed with amenities, but its snow room is one that stands out.

Installing a snow room in a residence is anything but ordinary. Snow rooms are typically found in high-end spas for cooling down after a sauna or retail spaces for people to try out winter jackets. Like all snow rooms, Ambani’s space creates artificial snowflakes — a welcome respite for the year-round warm climate in Mumbai.

168-Car Garage

Ambani’s Antilia takes car storage to another level. The home features a six-story garage with space for 168 luxury cars, per Express. This garage can hold Ambani’s array of vehicles, including a Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Ferrari and Mercedes Benz Maybach, per Architectural Digest.

The oil baron’s home also has a car service station.

While he’s downplayed its existence to the media, some reports suggest the bunker is fully equipped with high-end survival technology to ensure he’s prepared for any extreme scenario.

Digital Art Walls

Bill Gates’ Xanadu 2.0 in Medina, Washington, features walls that can display digital art based on his preferences, per Omni Home Ideas. A centralized server allows him to switch between pieces instantly, making it possible to refresh the mood of the entire home within seconds.

Private Library With Secret Passages

Gates’ private library features towering bookshelves, a dome roof and secret bookcases, including one that leads to a private bar, Business Insider reported.

Gates’ home isn’t just about technology and private passages, either. It also includes a massive wellness area.

The space features a 2,500-square-foot gym with cutting-edge fitness technology, a swimming pool with an underwater music system and a trampoline room with a 20-foot ceiling, per Omni Home Ideas.
