Miranda Marquit has more than a decade of experience covering financial markets, investing, business, and personal finance topics. She has a master’s degree in journalism from Syracuse University and has made contributions to a wide variety of media outlets, including Forbes, NPR, FOX Business, Entrepreneur, Yahoo! Finance, USA Today, Investopedia, The Balance, and MSN Money and U.S. News & World Report, in addition to GOBankingRates.

Over the years, she has developed her own approach to money, and is considered an expert. She has been quoted as an expert in a number of publications, as well as being a radio and podcast guest. Currently, Miranda and is working on her MBA while raising her teenage son as a single parent and being engaged in local politics. Miranda actually got her start as a science writer, covering various subjects for publications like Discover magazine and Phys.org. While she still enjoys covering science and technology topics, Miranda mainly writes about financial topics — as she has for almost 15 years.
