2. Student Checking

If you’re under 25 years old and looking to open an account, you might want to choose the Student Checking option. There is no monthly maintenance fee for students or young adults, and a fee of just $3.99 per month is applied only after the customer turns 25. You also won’t be charged a fee for statements, even if you choose to receive paper statements, and there is no fee for using non-Citizens Bank ATMs.

3. Citizens Bank Platinum Checking

The Platinum Checking experience offers highlighted personalized banking features, including advice from Citizens Bank bankers. Customers with Platinum Checking also receive unlimited savings, money market and CD accounts at platinum rates, as well as no fees for Platinum check designs, paper statements, money orders and foreign currency. The $25 monthly account maintenance fee can be waived with a combined account balance of $25,000. Accounts have a variable interest rate of 0.02% APY for balances of $2,500 to $9,999.

4. Citizens Bank Platinum Plus Checking

Platinum Plus checking accounts include the same features as Platinum accounts but with a higher APY of 0.07% for balances of $250,000 and above.
