The latest average household income data gathered by ESRI Updated Demographics shows the highest-income households appear to be heading further toward Kendall County, past North San Antonio.
Atascosa, Bandera, Bexar, Comal, Guadalupe, Kendall, Medina and Wilson counties were included in San Antonio Business Journal‘s ranking of the top 25 zip codes with the highest-income households.
1. 78004: Bergheim, Kendall County
The average household income in Bergheim is $185,301 a year, while the average home value is $481,482. The town only has a population of 528 people and a per-capita income of $68,786.
2. 78015: Boerne, Kendall County
In 2012, Boerne’s 78015 zip code was ranked No. 1 with highest income per household; it dropped to No. 2 in 2013 with an average household income of $162,173. Although Boerne has a much larger population than Bergheim with 11,133 people, it also has a lower per-capita income of $58,820. The average home value in this city is $431,788.
