To find out which U.S. counties are the wealthiest, GOBankingRates isolated the 50 counties with the highest average household income and used Zillow to find each county’s 2024 typical home value. The state of Virginia has the highest concentration of wealthy counties in it with a total of nine counties.Â
Ranked in order from counties with the highest to lowest average household income, these are the 50 wealthiest counties in America.

GOBankingRates was then able to find the 2024 typical home value for the county as sourced from Zillow. All data was collected and is up to date as of July 10, 2024.
