Many of us dream of traveling like the rich and famous — but we likely don’t have the budget for it. From traveling by private jets or yachts to staying in luxury villas or five-star resorts, celebrities typically spare no expense when it comes to how they vacation.

GOBankingRates crunched the numbers to estimate the costs of some of the most lavish recent celebrity getaways — and the prices are shocking.

Dua Lipa’s Luxe Escape to Riviera Nayarit, Mexico

Singer Dua Lipa recently shared snaps on Instagram of a luxurious vacation she took with her partner, actor Callum Turner. Her photos include images of beaches, infinity pools and jungle surroundings. While she didn’t identify where she stayed, Lipa was reportedly at the One&Only Mandarina, an ultra-private, ultra-luxury resort located in Mexico’s Riviera Nayarit region.

Guests can choose to stay at villas, private homes or treehouses. Stays at the resort’s grand Villa One start at $1,250 and can be as high as $5,050 on popular dates. That means a three-night stay would start at $3,750 — and that doesn’t include travel, dining or excursion costs.

Kim Kardashian’s $30K Bali Birthday Bash

For Kim Kardashian’s 38th birthday, the reality star traveled to Bali with her sisters Khloe and Kourtney and their children. The family stayed at a private beachfront estate at the Soori hotel for five days, which cost an estimated $30,000, E! News reported.

The Soori Estate includes 10 bedrooms and a wide range of amenities, including four private infinity pools, an outdoor shower, butler service, a gourmet kitchen, a private gym and a private spa room.

Mariah Carey’s Pricey Aspen Holiday

The “Queen of Christmas,” Mariah Carey, often heads to Aspen, Colorado, during the holiday season. The cost to rent an ultra-luxury estate in the popular ski destination can range from $100,000 to $400,000 for a week, according to Avant Garde Aspen.

Not only is Carey likely shelling out the big bucks for her stay, but she’s also splurging on her vacation wardrobe. This past December, Carey stepped out wearing a Louis Vuitton 3D wool-cashmere scarf and white leather-trimmed poncho coat, which together cost around $8,600, People reported.

David and Victoria Beckham’s Mega-Yacht in Miami

Victoria Beckham often lives up to her “Posh” moniker when it comes to how she vacations. The former Spice Girl and her soccer star husband were seen on a mega-yacht in Miami in March 2024 that costs $20 million, Page Six reported.

The yacht reportedly accommodates up to 10 guests in five suites and features its own beach club.

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend’s Maldives Paradise

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend enjoyed a high-end family vacation at the exclusive Soneva Jani Resort in the Maldives in 2021, People reported. The resort comprises 24 private over-water villas with features like water slides, retractable roofs and butler service.

Stays begin at $2,656 per night, which makes the cost of a three-night stay nearly $8,000.
