Who It’s Best For

The products and services offered by IdentityForce are useful to anyone who has credit accounts and a certain amount of wealth to protect. But they’re probably best for individuals, businesses and government entities with a lot of sensitive information and many different accounts.

How IdentityForce Earned its Scores

Range of Protection Services

You’d be hard pressed to find a wider or deeper selection of protection services than those offered by IdentityForce. They cover nearly every imaginable scenario, from the dark web to investment accounts and stolen funds.

Customer Service

With 24/7 customer service and extended hours in emergency situations, IdentityForce makes it easy for members to get problems resolved.

Cost

IdentityForce’s prices are competitive with those of rivals. But people living on a tight budget might find it hard to justify signing up for the service.

Membership Package Options

The IdentityForce website only lists two packages, which means when you sign up you might be paying for services you don’t really need. No a la carte options are provided on the website that let you choose specific services.

IdentityForce vs. Competitors

There are plenty of players in the identity theft protection industry, but because IdentityForce is a TransUnion brand, it might be best to compare it to similar services offered by TransUnion rivals Experian and Equifax. Here’s a look at how they stack up.

IdentityForce vs. Experian

Experian gets the edge in at least one area: It offers a Basic package that is free of charge and provides credit report and FICO score services as well as free dark web surveillance and a free personal privacy scan. But Experian’s two paid packages cost more than those at IdentityForce, and IdentityForce offers a wider range of services.

IdentityForce vs. Equifax

Equifax offers a little more flexibility in that customers are given three options instead of two, including Equifax Complete, which costs only $9.95 per month. Its two other packages are Equifax Complete ($19.95 per month) and Equifax Complete Family Plan ($29.95 per month). IdentityForce’s advantage is that it offers a much more complete lineup of services.

Final Take

Identity thieves, online scammers and computer hackers are getting more sophisticated every year, and IdentityForce provides the kinds of protection and security services that can help customers sleep better at night. It’s probably not a good fit if you don’t have a lot of credit or finances to protect. For everyone else, however, you get a lot of protection for a reasonable price.
