Biography:

Jon Fortt is co-anchor of CNBC’s “Closing Bell: Overtime.”

Previously, he co-hosted CNBC’s “TechCheck” and developed the weekly segments On the Other Hand on “Squawk Box” and Working Lunch on “Power Lunch.” Fortt also co-anchored CNBC’s “Squawk Alley.”

Since 2016, he has been creating content under the Fortt Knox brand — first as a podcast, now as a livestream, video series and newsletter that lives primarily on LinkedIn. The themes are innovation, entrepreneurship and culture. He interviews builders, innovators and visionaries and engages the community to benefit from shared knowledge.

In 2020, Fortt launched The Black Experience in America: The Course. In 2023, he launched On the Other Hand as a newsletter on CNBC.
