Summer may be coming to a close, but savvy shoppers are making strategic frozen food purchases at Costco. Those on tight budgets will be pleased to hear there are plenty of affordable frozen foods they can buy now to stock their freezers and save money ahead of the upcoming fall season.
From croissant sandwiches to French toast, don’t let summer end before you stock up on these six frozen foods for under $20 at Costco.
Smucker’s Uncrustables
- Price: $15.79
The kids will be back to school before you know it and if you need an easy lunch on hand to pack on busy days, it’s a good idea to shop for a box of Smucker’s Uncrustables.Â
Every box includes 18 large-size soft bread sandwiches which comes out to about 88 cents for each Uncrustable. And if the peanut-butter-and-grape-jelly flavor pictured above isn’t a hit in your household, Costco also sells the strawberry jam Uncrustables at the same price.
Jimmy Dean Croissant Sandwiches
- Price:Â $16.59
You could grab a breakfast sandwich at a coffee shop or fast food drive-thru and pay anywhere from $2.50 to $5 or more every morning. Or, you can add a box of Jimmy Dean croissant sandwiches to your Costco shopping cart and pocket the extra savings.
Each individually packaged croissant sandwich is made with sausage, cage free egg and cheese and can be quickly heated up in the microwave and savored. With 18 croissant sandwiches in every box, the amount Costco members pay comes out to about 92 cents each.
Kellogg’s Homestyle Eggo Waffles
- Price: $13.99
Whether you’re bulk-buying breakfast foods for your college student or need to stock up on waffles to feed the family, don’t leave Costco without grabbing a 72-count box of homestyle Eggo waffles.Â
How much more money does a Costco member save buying Eggo waffles at Costco compared to a big-box retailer? Target, for example, sells Eggo waffles in 24-packs regularly priced at $6.99. To get to 72 waffles, you’d have to buy three boxes at Target and spend $20.97: nearly $7 more than what you’d pay at Costco.
Farm Rich French Toast Sticks
- Price: $10.69
Shake up your breakfast plans when you buy a box of Farm Rich French toast sticks at Sam’s Club.Â
At 48 ounces per box, Costco members get plenty of bang for their buck and save money compared to shopping at other supermarkets. Farm Rich French toast sticks for sale at Smart & Final, in the same 48-ounce sizing, cost $13.99 according to Instacart.
Sandwich Bros Chicken Melt Flatbread Pocket Sandwiches
- Price:Â $14.69
Need to bulk-buy some quick and easy lunches on the go? Pick up a box of Sandwich Bros chicken melt flatbread sandwiches at Costco. Each chicken breast sandwich microwaves in 50 seconds and can be enjoyed as a snack or light meal.
It’s also an economical lunch option compared to the cost of dining out. With 15 sandwiches in every box, Costco members pay about 98 cents each.
Kirkland Signature Cheese Pizza
- Price:Â $12.59
Who can resist leaving Costco without pizza? While the frozen food aisle has several pizza options available to shop, one of the cheapest deals is the Kirkland Signature cheese pizza.Â
Four cheese pizzas come inside every box which means each one costs about $3.15. Compared to the cost of ordering out pizza, it’s a no-brainer to stock up for inexpensive, stress-free dinners.
