Visiting the most magical place on Earth can add up fast. However, Disney parks are filled with relatively inexpensive items that feel like a splurge.
The key to finding these reasonably-priced items — and experiences — is knowing where to look. Keep reading to discover seven little luxuries at Disney and where to find them.
Dole Whip Float
“It’s refreshing, iconic, and gives me that ‘I’m really here’ feeling without being a full sit-down dessert,” said Isheeta Borkar, who runs travel blog Travelicious Couple with her husband Shrey. “When I pair it with a shady bench and a parade, and it feels like a splurge.”
She said you can find a Dole Whip Float at the Aloha Isle in Adventureland (in Magic Kingdom) for $6.99.
Minnie Mouse Ear Headbands
An iconic purchase, Borkar said you can find Minnie Mouse ear headbands for approximately $29.99 at nearly every gift shop. However, she said, Emporium on Main Street U.S.A. (also in Magic Kingdom) has the best selection to choose from.
“It’s the one accessory that instantly transforms my photos and makes me feel part of the story,” she said. “Compared to a costume or full character dining, it’s a steal.”
Individual Lightning Lane Upgrade
“Skip-the-line access to a major ride feels like a first-class upgrade in a park full of waiting,” Borkar said. “It’s a time-saver that delivers instant satisfaction.”
She said this affordable indulgence can be found inside the Disney app, depending on the ride and day, and costs between $7 and $20.
Mickey-Shaped Caramel Apple
When she visits the Magic Kingdom, Borkar enjoys heading to Main Street Confectionary for a Mickey-Shaped Caramel Apple, which costs $11.99, she said. Additionally, she said this delicious treat is also sold at Candy Cauldron at Disney Springs.
“It’s hand-decorated, rich and designed like a designer treat, but it costs less than a Starbucks order and is big enough to share,” she said. “We love it.”
Personalized Souvenir from Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe
Located at Magic Kingdom in Liberty Square, Borkar said you can get a personalized souvenir from Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe starting at $19.99.
“Hand-lettered holiday ornaments with your name or trip date feel meaningful and artisanal,” she said. “And they’re far more personal than mass-produced merch.”
Cocktail at Dahlia Lounge
Located at the top of the Coronado Springs Resort tower, Lauren King, travel advisor at Key to the World Travel, said the Dahlia Lounge is a beautiful Spanish-inspired rooftop bar you don’t want to miss.
“Sip on a Sangria or a specialty cocktail and snack on some tapas while you overlook the resort one evening,” she said. “You will definitely feel luxurious.”
Silhouette Art
For a souvenir that looks expensive but isn’t, King said to visit the silhouette artists on Main Street at the Magic Kingdom.
“You can find a silhouette artist down Main Street next to Uptown Jewelers and sometimes near the Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe,” she said. “You can also sometimes find them in Epcot in the France Pavilion and at Disney Springs in the Marketplace area.”
Silhouettes are $14 per person or $18 per pet, according to the blog Adventures of a Disney Dad.
