Sam’s Club is known to have incredible deals both online and in-store, especially on Black Friday (Nov. 28). Their discounts will start at 12am EST on Nov. 27 (or 12pm EST on Nov. 26 for shoppers with Plus). The Club Membership costs $50 a year, whereas the Plus membership is $110 a year.
Though no deals have been released so far, past years have shown there will probably be lots of good sales for retirees. These can make life easier around the house, or be perfect gifts for the family. Read on to see what is speculated to be on sale this Black Friday at Sam’s Club.
Electronics
If this is your first year of retirement (or even if it isn’t), you can treat yourself to some new, deeply discounted electronics to enjoy during your time at home. “Sam’s Club’s Black Friday usually concentrates deals in big-ticket electronics,” advised Michael Wright, the founder of Thuml.com. Wright said to look out for deals on TVs, tablets, Apple accessories and soundbars.
Michael Pedrotti, the co-founder of GhostCap, said when it comes to sales on electronics, shoppers should especially look out for Sam’s Club doorbusters. “Doorbusters typically provide consumers with significant discounts up to $300 on large televisions by brands like Vizio and Samsung, as well as other electronics.”
Food Bundles
These might not be the items you initially think of, but they’re definitely tasty. Wright said to look out for preassembled dinners (i.e. holiday dining spreads) that Sam’s puts on sale around this time. “There are seasonal food bundles that often reappear near the holiday.”
Home Appliances
Pedrotti highlighted there could be some really good deals on items that will make life easier for retirees around the house. “A robot vacuum cleaner, or lightweight stick vacuum cleaner (which are often discounted) can help reduce the amount of physical labor involved in maintaining your home.” You can not only benefit from saving money by buying these, but protecting your health, too.
Pantry Essentials
Sam’s Club will most likely offer big savings on household items you use everyday, according to Pedrotti. “The greatest benefit to retirees will be stockpiling bulk household products like paper towels, coffee and non-perishable food items,” he said. “Stockpiling in bulk creates a long-term cost-saving advantage over a fixed income, and eliminates the need to make additional shopping trips.”
