What This ChatGPT List Reveals
The total cost for a week of groceries from Costco that ChatGPT came up with was $95. But in reality, Costco’s prices online were not the same. The total amount of a week’s worth of groceries on the Costco website was $167.Â
ChatGPT’s list was for a family of two, but when looking at some of the items, Costco only had larger quantities available. The list also left out dairy items like milk and cheese, tomatoes, other green vegetables, potatoes and other meat items.
Costco is a great place to shop for bulk items in large quantities. But if you don’t have a large family, you may not need large quantities of produce or other refrigerated items that will spoil. It may cost you less in the long run to shop at a regular grocery store.
Editor’s Note: Prices are accurate as of March 5, 2025. Item availability may differ depending on stores and locations.
