Disney is fun and if you plan correctly, you can do it on a budget. But you’re probably reading this because you have more to spend and splurge on a trip for you and your family. It’s possible to take your next Disney vacation to new levels by taking advantage of their more impressive packages.Â
Here are the six most expensive Disney vacation upgrades and packages.
Wild Africa Trek
Situated in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, you can get more up close with the animals you typically encounter at the Kilimanjaro Safaris with the Wild Africa Trek. The package costs $219 to $229 and includes a three hour tour into the Safi Rover Valley, a photographer to capture all your special moments and a selection of African-inspired snacks.Â
Fireworks Cruise
Sure, you can watch the fireworks at Magic Kingdom’s Cinderella Castle or at Epcot just about anywhere in those parks, but if you want a more VIP experience, that’s where the fireworks cruise comes in.Â
Prices start at $449 and you can choose to watch fireworks at either park via a chartered cruise ship, complete with a captain and snacks for you and your guests.
Private VIP Tours
Getting your own VIP tour guide at Disney sounds awesome, doesn’t it? Well you can — choose which park (or parks) you want to go to, with rates from $450 to $900 per hour. Once you book the tour, you simply let Disney know what you’d like to see and do and the tour guide will work hard to customize your itinerary.
Some of what you can request include any pre-arrival planning, when you want to start your day at Disney and even go to some backstage areas. You will need to book a tour for a minimum of seven hours and prices will differ depending on your tour.Â
Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Parties
Now part of the Enchanting Extras Collection, you can choose to indulge in desserts before, during or after the fireworks at Magic Kingdom for $75 to $129 per person. You and your guests will also be in a prime viewing area, so you don’t have to wrestle with the crowds to get a good spot.Â
Private Surf Party at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon
Yes, you can learn to surf at Disney. These are three hour sessions and you can choose from group or private lessons at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park ($270 to $1,550 per person). If you choose a private lesson, you’re able to choose the direction of your waves. If saving money isn’t a concern and you want to splurge, you can even purchase an add-on where a ESPN Wide World of Sports Gameday photographer will capture action shots.
Savi’s Workshop
If you’re a Star Wars fan, head over to the Black Spire Outpost, where you can head to a workshop where you can customize a lightsaber for $249.99 per person. You can customize the hilt, emitters, pommel caps and more.
The entire experience is meant to be as if you’re in a secret workshop with one of Savi’s Gatherers, which is why you’re only limited to bringing one guest with you on this experience.Â
