The average cost of a one-week vacation in the U.S. is about $2,000, according to Chime. At the other end of the spectrum are rentals with weekly price tags that can exceed what many Americans earn in a year.
These ultra-luxury vacation rentals aren’t just rooms with views. Instead, they’re elevated retreats for those who expect the very best.
St. Barts: Villa Ana Flamands
- Rental price: $120,000 to $450,000 per week
Villa Ana Flamands, located on Flamands Beach, is one of the most sought-after stretches of sand in St. Barts, known as “Billionaire Beach.” The property stays shielded from prying eyes through screened boundaries, but still offers guests full ocean and hillside views.
The villa features five contemporary bedrooms, including a primary bedroom and a children’s bedroom. Also included is a professional kitchen, full living and dining areas and a bar. A private office, gym, outdoor heated pool and jacuzzi round out the experience, and allow guests to engage in their daily routines and downtime completely on site.
Rates vary by season starting at $120,000 for seven days. Bookings that include Dec. 25 or Jan. 1 are the most expensive, reaching $450,000, and require a 14-day stay.
Saint-Tropez: Chateau Saint-Maur
- Rental Price: $252,414 to $277,477 per week
Chateau Saint-Maur is located on a private wine estate in Cogolin, near the Maures mountains in the Saint-Tropez Gulf.
The chateau has a 3,500-square-meter footprint and offers seven double bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom. Interior spaces include multiple salons, formal dining rooms and a full kitchen suited for group stays.
Amenities include a heated pool with a standalone pool house set inside one of the estate’s original stone buildings, a private spa with a steam bath, and a private nightclub with a bar, DJ booth and dance floor. A wine cellar and cigar lounge are also part of the property.
Austin, Texas: Above Crown Jewel Estate
- Rental Price: $302,939 per week, on average
For a stateside destination, the Above Crown Jewel Estate spans nearly 6.5 acres along Lake Austin with close to 500 feet of private waterfront. Rather than a single residence, the property is a private compound made up of several separate buildings.
The estate accommodates up to 14 guests across a main house, guest house, gym house and cabana house. One building offers a full cabana setup, complete with a chef’s kitchen with beer taps, its own pool and spa, and indoor and outdoor recreation built into the space. The main house includes a primary suite with a private balcony overlooking Lake Austin. Wellness features are available in the gym building, which includes a full home gym along with a sauna, massage room, plunge tub and steam shower.
Watermill, New York: Cobb Road Daydream
- Rental Price: $111,464 per week, depending on season
Cobb Road Daydream is a 12,000-square-foot modern estate featuring three levels, with open living areas, high ceilings and large windows throughout. The home includes eight bedrooms and 10 bathrooms, with several primary-style suites and shared spaces.
The property includes indoor and outdoor dining areas, a media room, a full gym and a dedicated wine tasting space. Outside, guests will find a private pool, a pool house with spa features and retractable glass walls, and a Har-Tru tennis court.
An on-site housekeeper is part of the stay.
