Ranking Spider-Man, Dune and More 2022 Oscar Nominees by Film Budget
More money doesn’t necessarily mean more nods.
Hollywood’s most glamorous night of the year is this weekend. The 94th Academy Awards will be held on March 27 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.
Many of your favorite A-listers will be in attendance, both as nominees and presenters at the prestigious ceremony. They’ll be dressed to the nines in their finest black-tie apparel, but their designer outfits won’t be the only big-budget focus of the evening.

Of course, all eyes will be on the Oscar-nominated films — many of which weren’t cheap to create. This year at least, the amount of money spent to make a movie doesn’t necessarily correlate with the number of nominations received.
Many films with smaller budgets actually received more nods than those that cost much more to make. However, several films with sky-high budgets also scored an impressive amount of nominations.
Curious where your favorite Oscar nominees rank? Keep reading to find out which film was the most expensive to bring to life.
