Trucks aren’t cheap. However, some models are currently priced so high, they’re not affordable for the average middle class driver’s money.

As of 2022, the U.S. median household income was approximately $56,600 to $169,800, according to the Pew Research Center. Many of the most expensive trucks are priced higher than the bottom to mid-level of this range, making it hard for middle-income earners to afford payments.

Of course, this doesn’t mean trucks in general are out of reach for the middle class — just certain models. Here’s a look at seven trucks the middle class probably won’t have parked in their driveways.

2024 Nissan Titan XD Crew Cab Platinum Reserve

  • Base price: $66,760

Undeniably flashy, the 2024 Nissan Titan XD Crew Cab Platinum Reserve has 20-inch dark-painted machine-finished aluminum-alloy wheels, a brushed satin-finished front grille and running boards with chrome accents. It’s also equipped with a gooseneck hitch ball and anchor and leather-appointed seats with the Platinum Reserve logo. But, at $66,760, this truck is inching out of budget.

The interior is equipped with 12-way power driver and front passenger premium leather-trimmed bucket seats, an available world-class sound system and noise-cancelling features located throughout the cabin. With a price tag of $69,995, it is overpriced for the middle class.

2024 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD

  • Base price: $74,490

Riding in luxury, the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD is equipped with front bucket seats and a 13.4-inch diagonal Chevrolet Infotainment 3 Premium System. It has a 6.6-liter V8 gas engine and 20-inch eight-spoke polished wheels. Despite the mountain of features, this truck sits at a whopping $74,490.

Toyota Tundra Capstone

  • Base price: $80,725

Featuring semi-aniline leather-trimmed 10-way power-adjustable front seats, the Toyota Tundra Capstone is a beauty with a two-tone white-and-black interior with dark American walnut wood-grain trim. Equipped with 22-inch chrome and machine-finish alloy wheels, it also had power running boards and BedStep. But, at $80,725, this truck’s cost is not reasonable.

Ford F-150 Lightning Platinum

  • Base price: $84,995

An electric vehicle, the Ford F-150 Platinum offers all the standard benefits of this beloved model — and more. Featuring BlueCruise hands-free highway driving, an extended range battery, the max trailer tow package, a 9.6-kilowatt pro power onboard and a high-end sound system, it’s easy to see why this truck costs a premium. Thanks to all the cool features, this vehicle sits at $84,995.

2025 GMC Sierra 2500HD Denali Ultimate

  • Base price: $92,800

Featuring the world’s first six-function MultiPro Tailgate with available Kicker Audio System, the 2025 GMC Sierra 2500HD Denali Ultimate also has 14 available camera views — including transparent trailer view — and an available multicolor 15-inch diagonal head-up display. Riding in luxury, it could be easy to get used to the 16-way power front seats with massage feature. Just shy of $100,000, we can assume this is way out of budget.
