The holiday shopping season is expensive, not to mention exhausting. While there may not be a one-stop shop for everything you need, budget-friendly warehouse clubs like Sam’s Club come pretty close.
When creating your holiday shopping list, here are nine items to splurge on, settle for or skip at Sam’s Club this year.

Items To Splurge On
KitchenAid Stand Mixer
- Price: $279.98
Tami Smith, co-founder of A Couple Consumers, commented that the KitchenAid stand mixer is a must if you’re in the market to buy one. “Best price I’ve seen,” Smith wrote in an email. The mixer is $100 off right now, making it $279.98 through Dec. 26, although prices may vary in clubs and online.
Gourmet Holiday Gift Sets
- Price: $6.98 to $99.94
“Gourmet holiday gift sets are a great value whether it’s for a loved one or to use as a treat for holiday get-togethers,” wrote Melissa Cid, consumer savings expert for MySavings.com. You can even shop for baskets by price. Some are under $15, while bigger baskets are as much as $40 or more.
“There are so many to choose from at great prices. Choose from Artisan cheese and charcuterie gift sets or chocolate and cookies; there is something for every budget and taste.”
Wrapping Paper
- Price: $17.96
If you need a bulk supply of holiday wrapping paper, Sam’s Club has you covered. “They always have great deals on bulk packs of wrapping paper,” Smith explained. A six-pack of assorted Hallmark wrapping paper is $17.96 online, and each roll is 55 square feet, or 30 inches wide and 22 feet long.

Women’s Cold Weather Apparel
- Price: $7.81 to $25.88
“Settle for women’s cold weather apparel,” Cid explained. “You can find sweaters, winter coats and more for reasonable prices if you missed out on the Black Friday and Cyber Week sales.”
For the best prices, wait until after the holidays when retailers start gearing up for spring. You can find much better deals when stores try to clear their winter fashion inventory ahead of warmer weather.
Pre-Lit Christmas Trees
- Price: $249.91
You won’t find the best deals on pre-lit Christmas trees at Sam’s Club, but you may find better prices elsewhere. “Prices are reduced, but on par with other retailers,” according to Smith. Prices range from $150 up to $550, and the most highly-rated tree is the Member’s Mark nine-foot flocked aspen pre-lit Christmas tree. It’s marked down to $302.91 – a savings of $77.03.
Apple Watch Series 10
- Price: $379 (46mm) or $349 (42mm)
The end of the year is the best time to find tech deals. The price on some Apple Watch Series 10 models has been reduced at Sam’s Club, but it’s not the best. “Reduced price, but not the lowest,” Smith explained.
On the Sam’s Club website, the Apple Watch Series 10 GPS 46mm and 42mm aluminum cases are $40 off, or $379 and $349, respectively.

Outdoor Holiday Decor
- Price: $76.91 to $449.91
“Skip the pricey outdoor holiday décor and instead wait and buy it once it goes on clearance in the days before and the week after Christmas,” Cid wrote.
While you can find reduced prices on some outdoor holiday decor items, it’s still expensive, especially if you plan to buy several. “You’ll get your best bang for your buck for the next year at up to 70% off,” she added.
Arlo Wireless Outdoor Cameras
- Price: $179 to $299
Sam’s Club has three Arlo wireless outdoor camera sets on its website, ranging in price from $179 to $299. “I’ve seen these cheaper at other retailers,” Smith noted. The three pack of Arlo wireless 2K pro 5S spotlight security cameras is $299 from Sam’s Club; however, building the bundle on Arlo’s website costs roughly the same.
